Episode 41 - The Rosaring, a class by Christine Foltzer (ECT 2009)
Dave and I felt that a discussion of Ullr was just the thing to liven up a chilly New England January. With that in mind we pulled from our archives a fantastic class presented by Christine Foltzer at this past summer's East Coast Thing. The class centers around the Rosaring, an archaeological site thought to be sacred to Ullr. I know that this is a subject completely fascinating to me and I hope you do as well. Enjoy!

Wow, what a fascinating site. Shame there is so little info on Rosaring? Thanks Christine for bringing this to our attention. Here’s something to explore regarding the mysterious use of labyrinth designs - NYU’s Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (NYC) currently has an exhibit of objects from the “Old Europe” civilization (3000bc-5000bc) which predates Indo-Europeans. These folks existed before the Mesopot. and Egyptian civilizations. The artwork, crafts, pottery, etc. on display are stunning and very advanced. The reason I bring this up because one large pottery vessel had labyrinth designs on its surface. www.nyu.edu/isaw/exhibitions/oldeurope/
