Episode 36 - Heathen Burial Grounds
Heilsa All!
This is our first videocast. And we do apologize for both the quality and timeliness of this. But it is about 45 minutes of goodness telling the saga of what it took to create a place for our honored dead. It was recorded at the International Asatru Summer Camp July 2009.
The description from the pre-event newsletter, "Solvej Vikkelsø will be talking about creating a heathen burial ground. Solvej is a member of Danish Forn Siðr and the one who has all the photos, plans, architect drawings and others things in digital form of the burial place of Forn Siðr in Odense - Søren Fisker and Solvej Vikkelsø are the ones who did all the planning and work up to and including the actual making of the stone-ship (skibssætning). In other words, Solvej knows exactly what she is talking about when she tells you what it took for Forn Siðr to have their own heathen burial ground."
Rest assured, we will be podcasting more goodies from IASC.
But not too soon as the end of August is time for the East Coast Allthing! Hope to see you there and we will bring back more good stuff from that event as well.
Podcast Video [ 44:54m]:

I cannot make this video work, not sure if everyone else is having the same trouble

Unfortunately, we got carried away when we did this one…
45 minutes of Video = 200 Meg. 45 minutes of Audio = 45 Meg.
As a result, attempting to watch the video at the website may take you a ridiculous amount of time on a good connection.
My suggestion is to download it if you can. If things are really bad then we may break it up into byte sized chunks.
Again, we apologize to folks - it’s our first video. We’ll do better.

I was wondering if it is possible to get this video another way. It won’t play and the download link doesn’t seem to be working either. I know this podcast is from 2 years ago, but I would still like to watch it.

Blarg, your right it’s just not working at all.
I’ll try to break it up into chunks and see if that helps but I can’t guarantee when I’ll get to do that… Sorry.
