This was a really awesome podcast and I really enjoyed hearing more of Mike Smith's thoughts on the topic. Somehow when I had been getting the casts from iTunes, this one got skipped! It's okay, though, it was wonderful and definitely worth the unintentional wait!

It's great to have a podcast about the runes, and I hope it won't be the last. I'm wondering how much work with the runes the two of you (Dave and Sandy) do. Personally, the runes were my "gateway" into Asatru, and I've been studying both the religion and the runes simultaneously.

I was really looking forward to this interview, but I have not been able to listen to it due to the poor audio quality (I listen to podcasts during my morning/evening commute, and there is just no amount of fiddling that makes this listenable in my vehicle). I'll have to try sitting in a quiet room with headphones ... if I can set aside that much time.

A great interview, though a little hard to hear (but headphones plus volume control sorted that).
I don’t really go into runes my self due to the fact that I’ve still my nose in books trying to get grounded on the rest of the religion with the lore (though I’m mostly through the main sagas (and the edda’s of coarse)) and other books I’ve been recommended to read. So this was a very helpful synopsis of someone who has gone into the runes, thanks and keep up the good work!

Regards

Nice show guys. Mike is obviously a guy who took the old saying of "Asatru being the religion with homework" to heart! I enjoyed hearing his thoughts on the runes, and he shared a wealth of good advice.
