Episode 14 - National Organizations - Asatru Alliance
We interview Valgard Murray of the Asatru Alliance. The Alliance is organized as collection of separate kindreds. We discuss many things with Valgard, including the importance of community. The AA promotes that idea by offering help and guidance to fledgling groups. For more information about the AA have a look at the web page at Asatru.org.

I wish I could say something more constructive than I love the show, but that’s what I have, I check your site every week or so hoping for more of the 101 casts, but all in all, keep up the good work.

Another great interview, guys. I’ve enjoyed not only what each of these leaders have had to say, but have also enjoyed hearing the differences in personalities between them. I think this series has not only served its purpose of giving insight into the reasons for joining a national organization, but has also shed a some personal light on some of the leaders in Asatru today. Those who have yet to have the pleasure of meeting some of these men and women in person, have now, at least, had an opportunity to put the sound of a voice to the writings of these leaders. Well done.

Health and Luck Sandy and Dave;
This series on the national organizations is a wonderful resource. It is good to see past, present, future and personalities of them discussed.
Valgard Murray and Stephen McNallen were two of the first three Asafolk to answer my queries when I found that there were others who believed and gave worship to the same Holy Ones as did I. I have made many friends in Heathenry over the years because they, as well as the other leaders, did step out and say; “Here’s a life that our folk can live.”
My gratitude and compliments.

A big thanks to you guys for this series, I just found out about it from a buddy and listened to them all, and have to agree with Heimgest in the interview you did with him, that this is a great resource for all the heathen, Odinist, Asatru community. I have been practicing for about 15 years now and the first guys I heard of were Heimgest, Steve McNallen and then Valgard but I have never met them so it was very good to actually hear them and as has been said listen to the differences in their personalities and way of expressing things as well as the differences in the groups. These guys have all been about since the 1970`s and its good they are still out there doing it. So a big hail to you guys at Ravencast for this project

Escellent!!! It is so very important for our vital folk community to hear these viewpoint from the Old Bear’s mouth, as it were. We can all read a lot of pointed words, but unless we allow for real explanation and rebuttal…

valgard murray granted has done much for the odinist asatru comunity, though if everyone wuold please look into his deposition that he gave to the federal government, on behalf of the state of ohio, we will see some very disturbing statements made by valgard please look into this and make your own judgment. odinism is steeped in the ideals of honor and truth, valgard failed on that part.
