Alwin,

I work with a lot of folks with Mental Health problems. It makes my week when clients succeed. But the last thing that I would recommend would be for folks to climb into a situation that would put folks beyond their comfort zone. Religion is an import thing. If you are going or creating a religious group it should be with folks who are compatible with you and can give you appropriate long-term benefits. If folks have Major Issues or Situations that are going on, then it would likely not behoove anyone (but especially a newbie) to get into that. That is the point I was making.

Very slowly still catching up on podcasts, hence the late reply. This one episode has been getting my hackles up, though. Some of the statements made can be easily misinterpreted or overstated, and lead to blatant discrimination of people. The comments on 'crazies' for one can easily lead to anybody with any sort of mental health problem, no matter how well managed, to be outcast - even more so than they already are in todays society.

So here's my plea: really, really, REALLY consider your words and phrasings.

As a solitary practitioner beginning to feel the tug of community, this podcast really helped light the path a bit better for me. Thank you so much.
