I just listened to this podcast and really enjoyed it. I haven't ever been part of Asatru, and have one friend who has, but have never discussed it with her. I was really surprised that there would be such animosity toward Loki amongst Asatru. Especially that people would be upset about Jesse's booth. Thank you for this podcast; I really enjoyed it.

Thank you for having someone who has actually studied Loki to be the one presenting this material. All too often people rehash incorrect information that comes from dubious scholarship instead of looking at the actual source texts. Presentations like this allow people to form their own informed opinion rather than having an opinion shoved at them.

Loki has always struck me as a cunning foe and a close friend and companion. Far far too much lore has been twisted by revisionists (both modern and ancient) and then misunderstood. When Thor goes riding, it's Loki that goes with him. When they Gods took their gifts, it was the hand of Loki's machinations. Intended or not, he tends to be the catalyst that creates the very things that drives the Aesir and Vanir along their path. Loki sits in my shrine right next to his battle companion and firend, Thor. Also, please remember, much of our lore was twisted by Christian re-writers in an effort to undermine paganism. That alone should make us wary of Loki's portrayal in the lore, specifically Snorri

Hello
While I found this interesting, I must say I think just about the best article/talk on Loki I have ever heard is from the Odinic Rite and called May Loki Be Bound. Found it on their website and after reading it, the previous confusion was totally replaced with understanding

Very fascinating. Loki is too integral to so many of the stories not to give him such a complete consideration.

Another great show! I am a Gardinarian, but I believe, Norse blood. My great grandfather was from the Orkney Isles, so I have some interest in Asatru. Although I've been Wiccan for over a decade, I'm looking forward to some basics.

Hi
I just wanted to say thank you so much for the episode on Loki I have just recently been brought to study a little of Asatru through finding Loki I’ve been listening to your podcast to learn more on the Asatru path as currently i’m an eclectic pagan. Well I figured I would just leave a comment and say thank you once more
