I think it is very fascinating for you to be interested with the Norse myths and sagas as well as the Old Ways with your very different backgrounds. I mainly became interested in Asatru through my heritage and wanted to repeat what my ancestors have done before me. I have only known Asatru to be folkish, but I am pleased to see this new approach. “Reform” Asatru perhaps?
Props for being from UMASS too, all my buds are there, but I am down in the bible belt for some reason at a Southern school. No Pagan support in sight.
This is a great site, and please keep it up!
p.s. I am studying in Sweden now and love it!

I just found the Asatru Podcast, so I’ve got a bit of catching up to do.
Just wanted to say how awesome this series is. I find it interesting hearing others’ stories of how they found Asatru. I’ve been pagan for 15 years (give or take), and only recently in the past couple of years having found Asatru.
Thanks so much for coming up with the podcast! It’s something I had thought of, briefly, but since I’m still a ‘noob’ for the most part, I didn’t think I’d know enough or have enough material to keep it going
Many Kudos!

Heathenmomma -
I’m glad you are finding our podcast useful. I say if you have thought about podcasting for even a second you should go for it
The more information that is out there the better and remember your “newness” does not invalidate your opinions.
